1. Who we are
Guess the Coaster ("the app") is made by Ashwin Posthumus, an individual developer in California, USA. Contact: support@guessthecoaster.com.
2. This is a beta
- The beta is a test version, delivered through Apple's TestFlight. Apple's TestFlight terms apply to installing it.
- Things may break, change or disappear. We may reset scores, streaks or other game data before the App Store launch, and we'll say so in the app and on this site first.
- The beta is free. There are no purchases in it.
- If you send feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve the game without owing you anything for them.
3. Using the app
- You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it.
- You can play as a guest. If you sign in with an email, keep access to that email to yourself: you're responsible for what happens on your account.
4. Usernames and fair play
Please don't:
- choose a username that is offensive, hateful, sexual, pretends to be someone else, or uses someone else's rights;
- cheat, for example with scripts, bots, or by interfering with the server;
- copy, scrape or resell the app's content or data.
We may change a username, reset scores gained by cheating, or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
5. XP and levels
XP, levels and streaks are part of the game. They have no money value, can't be bought, sold or exchanged, and we may change how they're worked out or correct them, for example after a bug.
6. Coaster information
- Coaster facts (heights, speeds, years and so on) are collected with care but may contain mistakes. Tell us at support@guessthecoaster.com and we'll fix them.
- Guess the Coaster is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any park, ride manufacturer or coaster database. Coaster, park and manufacturer names are used only to identify the real rides the puzzles are about, and belong to their owners.
- The app links to YouTube and park websites. We're not responsible for those sites.
7. Our content
The app's design, code, artwork, puzzle selection and text belong to us. You're welcome to share your results, for example with the app's spoiler-free share text.
8. Stopping
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (Profile, then Delete account; guests: Delete my data). We may suspend accounts that break these terms, or end the beta, with notice where reasonable.
9. No guarantees
The beta is provided "as is", without any promise that it will work without interruption or errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for lost game data, and our total liability is limited to 10 US dollars. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and important changes will be announced in the app. These terms will be replaced before the App Store launch.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
